From Iloilo City to San Joaquin

1. In the Iloilo City Terminal Market, ride a jeepney heading to San Joaquin.
2. Upon arrival at the San Joaquin town proper, ride another jeep that has Kuliatan on its itinerary.
3. Alight at Kuliatan and pay the necessary fees.

1. TAKE MEMENTOS
– When taking photos and videos, keep a safe distance from the animals to not disturb them.

2. SNORKELING
– This is a must to fully enjoy the underwater world carefully cultivated by the staff.

3. SWIMMING
– Ask the staff for a safe area for swimming as the shore is composed of boulder corals and rock formations.

4. TAKE A PICNIC
– The view deck is the perfect place for you to have a picnic date with your friends or loved ones.

5. ADMIRE THE VIEW
– The viewdeck is a delight for every photographer as it offers a view of the entire sanctuary.

– In Southern Iloilo, there are many marine sanctuaries scattered especially in the town of San Joaquin. Only Kuliatan is open for tourist reception.

1. Bring sunblock and other hygiene products that are eco-friendly and coral-friendly.
2. Bring your own reusable utensils and tupperwares for eating.
3. Bring your own snorkeling gear if you plan to but they also have rentals available.
4. Bring your own cooked meals because the availability of food in the sanctuary is erratic.
5. Bring cash for the trip because the staff only accepts cash.
6. Bring a dry bag for your fragile items in case the weather goes bad.

1. Take your photographs and selfies at a safe distance from the animals.
2. When snorkeling, do not come too close to the fishes or coral reefs to avoid disturbance to their natural habitats.
3. Do not dispose of your trash anywhere, only in the designated garbage can. Bring your trash along until you see one.
4. Use fewer plastic products, or if possible none at all. Eco-friendly utensils are encouraged to be used in the area.
